1. The selection of materials for lithium-ion batteries is the most important reason. Choosing materials with poor quality, no matter how good the process technology is, it cannot be guaranteed.
2. The electrolyte volume of lithium-ion batteries is mainly used to transport lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes. The shortage of electrolyte volume is generally due to insufficient liquid injection during production and the consumption of the battery after long-term use. Insufficient electrolyte will slow down the transmission speed of lithium ions, thereby consuming electricity and reducing voltage.
3. Moisture, excessive moisture can affect the positive and negative electrodes of lithium-ion batteries, and can also cause side reactions with the active substances of the positive and negative electrodes, damaging the internal structure and affecting the cycling life of lithium-ion batteries.
4. Charging and discharging will ultimately reduce the active material of the battery and cause changes in other chemical materials, resulting in an increase in internal resistance and permanent capacity loss. However, even when the battery is not in use, permanent capacity loss can occur.
5. The loss of negative electrode active material, such as the detachment of negative electrode active material and the decomposition of adhesive, can cause some negative electrode active material particles to lose their conductive connection with the conductive network, making it unable to embed lithium, resulting in capacity loss of lithium-ion batteries.
6. Improper working environment of lithium-ion batteries can directly affect their lifespan: the charging temperature of lithium-ion batteries is 0 ℃~45 ℃, and the discharge temperature of lithium-ion batteries is -20 ℃~60 ℃.
7. Charge the battery in a high-temperature environment. The performance of batteries is unstable under high temperatures, such as charging them immediately after exposure to sunlight or charging them in a high-temperature environment, which results in poor heat dissipation and shortened battery life.
