Classification And Characteristics Of Energy Storage Batteries

Jul 17, 2023Leave a message

Energy storage batteries generally refer to energy storage batteries, which mainly refer to batteries used in solar power generation equipment, wind power generation equipment, and renewable energy storage energy. The common energy storage battery is lead-acid battery. Currently, lithium-ion energy storage batteries using lithium iron phosphate as the positive electrode material are gradually being developed.
Energy storage batteries are divided into the following three categories:
1. Exhaust type energy storage lead-acid batteries - batteries with devices on the battery cover that can replenish liquid and release gas.
2. Valve regulated lead-acid batteries for energy storage - Each battery is sealed, but each battery has a valve that allows gas to overflow when the internal pressure exceeds a certain value.
3. Lead acid batteries for colloidal energy storage - batteries using colloidal electrolytes.
Lead acid batteries used for energy storage must have the following characteristics:
1. The temperature range used is relatively wide, and it is generally required to operate normally in a temperature environment of -30-60 ℃.
2. The low-temperature performance of batteries is good, and they can be used even in areas with relatively low temperatures.
3. Good capacity consistency, maintaining consistency in both series and parallel use of batteries.
4. Good charging acceptance. In unstable charging environments, it has stronger charging acceptance ability.
5. Long service life, reducing repair and maintenance costs, and reducing overall system investment.
