It is necessary to understand the usage errors of lithium-ion batteries!

Lithium ion batteries are a type of secondary battery (rechargeable battery) that primarily relies on the movement of lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes for operation.
During the charging and discharging process, Li+is intercalated and disembedded back and forth between the two electrodes: during charging, Li+is disembedded from the positive electrode, embedded into the negative electrode through the electrolyte, and the negative electrode is in a lithium rich state; When discharging, the opposite is true.
● Mistake 1: The initial charging time should be greater than 12 hours in order to activate the battery.
Correct method: As long as the lithium-ion battery is fully charged for the first time, it can be activated.
● Mistake 2: The number of times a battery can be charged and discharged is limited, and the battery should be used up or fully charged as much as possible.
Correct method: Different battery products require different charging methods and must be used strictly according to the product instructions. In the past, nickel cadmium batteries and nickel hydrogen batteries had to be charged for a long time to activate the battery, but now lithium-ion batteries have been activated before leaving the factory, so do not run out of phone power.
● Mistake 3: Overcharging and discharging can cause battery explosion.
● Correct maintenance methods for lithium-ion batteries:
1. The temperature should be suitable, with a charging temperature of 0 ℃~45 ℃ for lithium-ion batteries and a discharge temperature of -20 ℃~60 ℃ for lithium-ion batteries;
2. It should be kept in a clean, dry, and ventilated environment, avoiding contact with corrosive substances, and away from ignition and heat sources;
3. Do not mix the battery with metal objects to prevent them from touching the positive and negative poles of the battery, causing a short circuit, damaging the battery, and even causing danger.
4. If the battery is not used for a long time, it should be charged to 60%, stored separately in a cool and dry place, and recharged every 4 to 5 months.
5. When the battery malfunctions, repair or replace it through the official designated repair point.
